Freshly back in stock are our trademarked T1 StayUp® Float Kits (part no. AUE 897) and T2 StayUp® Float Kits (part no AUE 898).
These are now being fitted as standard to all new production SU carbs as a free upgrade, at no extra cost to our customers. The original brass float kits will still be available upon request, however, please call us to specify this when placing your order.
The StayUp® Float is fully resistant to modern ethanol-based fuels, and has a military-spec closed cell construction making it puncture proof.
The material specified was used by the S.U Carburetter Company for military installations in the 1980s where a guaranteed fail safe operation was critical. Due to the close link between SU and Amal today (both owned by Burlen Ltd) the secret behind the material has been applied across the range of floats types we manufacture, ensuring more carburetters are protected against ethanol.
